インド国内紙需要が2021年に2,070トンになる見込みである。ちなみに、日本は2,500トンの予想。

その成長要因の大きな一つに、急速な都市化が挙げられる。食品、飲料品、製薬、日常品に使用されるパッケージ品質が求められ、それに伴う印刷技術の向上、また、インド国民の識字率の向上による新聞、雑誌等の発行部数の増加、子供達への教育関連の支出増加などによる。

インド合同商工会議所(ASSOCHAM)は、2030年にインド人口は14億人に達し、都市人口は、その5割弱の5億9,000万人と試算している。

It is said that domestic demand for paper in India will be about 20.7 million in 2021 and will be 25.0 million in Japan.

One of the factors is rapid urbanization where good quality of paper used for food, beverage,pharmaceutical, daily life goods has been sought for and additionally, improvement of printing technology and literacy rate have been leading to the large number of circulations as well as investment for children’s educations.

According to ASSOCHAM, in 2030, the population of India reaches 1,4billion and with less than 50% among them 590 million people will be urban population.
